Dr. Ben-Joseph joined Oxford as an Executive-in-Residence in April 2007. Prior to this, he was the CEO of X-Cell Medical, an integrated drug eluting stent company. Before assuming the CEO position at X-Cell, Dr. Ben-Joseph was the President of Ester Neurosciences, a clinical stage biotech company engaged in the development of novel compounds for the treatment of neurological diseases. Prior to that, Dr. Ben-Joseph was the CEO and co-founder of Biolight Phototherapy, a company engaged in the development of medical devices for the treatment of dermatological disorders and allergies. He was also Assistant Professor at the Departments of Radiology and Neuroscience at the University of Michigan, a visiting Associate Professor at Tokushima University in Japan and a Visiting Scientist at Parke-Davis. Dr. Ben-Joseph has published over 30 peer-review papers and has received numerous awards and scholarships. He graduated with Honors from Imperial College of Science, Technology and Medicine (U.K.) and received his Ph.D. from Cambridge University. He completed his post-doctoral training at University of Michigan and received an MBA magna cum laude from University of Bradford.
